When faced with moving earth, rocks, or debris within confined spaces, Skid Steers offer an ideal alternative to loaders.
Adaptable and versatile, skid steer loaders excel in performing a variety of tasks, making them a preferred choice on construction and mining sites. Their compact size allows them to navigate restricted spaces and operate indoors, distinguishing them from larger loaders. Our skid steer fleet includes both wheeled (skid steer) and tracked (posi track) options, ensuring you find the perfect match for your project’s specific needs. While wheeled skid steers are prized for their manoeuvrability and ease of transport, they are limited to use on solid ground, whereas posi track skid steers are particularly well-suited for softer soils. The operating weights of our wheeled skid steers, such as the CAT 226D, range from 2.6 tonnes (2653kg) to 3.4 tonnes (3486kg) for our 249D3 model.
Whether it’s a wheeled or posi-track skid steer, all our units meet the specifications for mine sites and are suitable for operation in both mining and construction environments.
Our skid steers can be equipped with various accessories for a broader range of operations:

Our assortment of skid steers is primarily offered for dry hire, with potential alternatives for wet hire. Opting for dry hire enables you to solely rent the machinery, while wet hire entails the provision of a skilled and safety-trained operator if you prefer not to handle the skid steer yourself.
The duration of the rental period is prearranged with defined start and end dates.
We are happy to help out with your transportation requirements to deliver the Skid Steer to your site at the commencement of the rental period and retrieve it upon its conclusion. It is also possible for you to coordinate the access yourself if you prefer.
With more than 30 years of working in construction, mining, and working in remote areas, MSH offers a wide fleet of reliable machinery and equipment that are suitable for any of your projects.
Yes, you need an appropriate licence to hire and use a skid steer.
Certainly. Should your project demand the utilisation of multiple skid steers, you can rent several, provided that you adhere to and apply our terms and conditions for each unit. It is also possible to hire multiple accessories simultaneously for your skid steer as long as you let us know in advance so that we can organise them for you.
The operation of the skid steer is restricted to the person identified as the hirer/driver. In instances of wet hire, only the assigned operator is authorised to operate the equipment. In the case of dry hire, it is imperative to indicate the operator’s name if it varies from your own.
During the rental period, you become liable for any expenses, damages, losses, costs, or inconveniences resulting from equipment breakdown. This is why you must insure the machinery you hire to safeguard it against any potential losses or damages.
Please read our “Terms and Conditions”.
